Death Row Cannabis recently released several strains, showcasing a diverse lineup of genetics: Strawberry Gelato, the newest strain, as well as LA Runtz, and SFV OG flower, which are rolling out in multiple markets, first in California.

Death Row Cannabis—owned by Snoop Dogg, who also owns a portion of the catalog of Death Row Records—was announced last December. It was named after Death Row Records, which at one time was a bastion of West Coast hip-hop icons, generating a solid run of number one albums and $100 million per year in its prime.

And with the company’s rollout of new strains to launch in one of America’s biggest cannabis markets, the company still aims to keep prices fair.

“Our mindset whenever we are choosing strains is simple: bring the best cannabis at the best value to the customer,” says Travis “Shaggy” Marshall, Head of Product for Death Row Cannabis. “We know from experience that great cannabis can also be affordable.”

Marshall began his journey with Snoop Dogg long ago as an engineer for Doggy Style Records, and is co-owner of Marshall Consignment. Doggy Style Records was launched in 1995, four years after Death Row, as a subsidiary.
