Ice water hash, also known as bubble hash or ice hash, is a type of cannabis concentrate that is made by separating the trichomes (resin glands) from the plant material using ice water and agitation.

To make ice water hash, cannabis flower or trim is first soaked in ice-cold water to freeze the trichomes and make them brittle. The material is then agitated, either by hand or with the help of a machine, to break off the trichomes from the plant material. This agitation causes the trichomes to detach and sink to the bottom of the water, while the plant material floats on top.

Once the agitation is complete, the mixture is strained through a series of screens or filter bags with varying mesh sizes. These screens or filter bags help to separate the different grades of trichomes based on their size and quality. The trichomes that pass through the screens or filter bags are collected, dried, and then pressed into a solid or left in a powdery form, depending on personal preference.

Ice water hash is known for its purity and potency, as it contains a high concentration of trichomes, which are rich in cannabinoids and terpenes. The final product can vary in color and texture, depending on the starting material and the extraction process. It is commonly used for vaporizing, dabbing, or adding to joints and bowls to enhance the potency and flavor of cannabis.
